Komakata Dozeu(Dojo) You can enjoy the best dojo nabe if you like the taste of cuisines in the Edo era.
“Komakata Dozeu(Dojo)” is buit in 1801. Sukeshichi Echigoya was the founder of “Komakata Dozeu(Dojo)”. He thought that “Dojo” was a very lucky name, and that is why the shop was named after the fish. Dojo dish was the most common dish during the Edo period.
Fresh Dojo fish is poured with sake, then it is slowly cooked with miso soup, and after that a chef adds a miso sauce on top. This is the traditional way to cook Dojo since the Edo era.
We recommend “Yanagawa”which is cooked with Dojo fish、burdock and eggs all together.
Tatami mats are on the first floor, and you can enjoy the atmosphere of Edo era.
