“Asakusa Mugitoro” An old Japanese Tororo (grated Yam) cuisines’ restaurant is located in a foot of the komagata bridge for over 80 years.
Asakusa Mugitora is built in 1926 near by a foot of the Komagata bridge.The restaurant serves traditional Japanese food, and serves great “Mugitoro”(Barley rice with grated Japanese mountain yam on top).
Various yam dishes, Kaiseki cuisines, and other healthy Japanese food are cooked by using the fresh seasonal ingredients.
The founder of “Mugitoro” made a trio all over Japan to find the best ingredient of his dishes, he found the best mountain yam in Akita prefecture, called “Genkotsu yam”, and that is why he opened a yam cuisines’ restaurant.
