The old shop [Nakasei] is located in a quiet corner in Asakusa, with a beautiful pond and a few Tatami rooms.
The founder Nakagawa Tetsuzo, was selling tempura in a stall around Hirokoji Street during the Bakumatsu period , then the shop was opened in 1870 in front of Asakusa Public Hall.
The most popular dish is Raijinage which use lots of fresh shrimps and scallops fried with sesame oil. Many famous Japanese writers, e.g.
