This year, Ichikawa Danjuro IX, Ichikawa Botan, and Ichikawa Shinnosuke will all be participating in the crying sumo wrestling event held this Saturday, April 25th, to commemorate the restoration of Ichikawa Danjuro IX's "Shibaraku".
After the memorial service, they go up to the sumo ring and act as inspectors, scaring babies who don't cry by wearing demon masks.Babies these days don't cry as easily at demon masks, so a mask with the face of a character from a Japanese horror story might be better.
