From the middle of the Edo era it was crowded with spectacle cabins and street performers, with Okuyama with this shopping street at its center. Asakusa ‘s popular entertainment moved to the next 6 wards after the middle of the Meiji Period. Even now, the remnants are seen in the “Kima-kan” of the mass theaters located in the shopping district. Today, while building townscape in Edo-machi style, we are also working on shutter paintings and children’s kabuki performances on the theme of Kabuki.
