Asakusa-jinja Shrine annual festival (Sanja Festival) is run by Asakusa shrine dedicating association constructed in 44 towns and Asakusa association of parishioner.

We do head office miniature shrine divine spirit case on Thursday on 12th.

We stand in line very much on Friday on 13th.

We perform 44 parishioners-cho Union parade in Sat. on 14th.

You can see parade of miniature shrines even if we go where for town of Asakusa on Sunday on 15th.

We perform getting out shrine of head office miniature shrine at 6:00 on the early morning of Sunday on 15th. We are divided into the southern part, the eastern part, in three directions of the western part and perform every town’s parade of head office miniature shrine afterwards. It becomes with shrine of head office miniature shrine which returned from various quarters at evening past 7:30.
In Asakusa-jinja Shrine main shrine, kagura hall during festival period, dedication such as binzasara dances is carried out.

During from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., we prohibit traffic of vehicle in Kaminari-mon Gate Street and Umamichi Street and carry out festival open space on Sunday on 15th.

At Asakusa Association,you can see the peak of sanja festival=geisha people dances.
