Keisan: Sensoji Temple Principal Image Presentation "Asakusa Shrine Mikoshi Main Hall Hall Raising and Hall Lowering" will be held on March 17th (Sunday) and 18th (Monday), 2024.
The ``Sensoji Honzon Demonstration'' was held in the early morning of March 18th in the 36th year of Emperor Suiko (628 A.D.), when the brothers Hinoki Hamanari and Takenari went fishing in Edoura (Miyato River downstream of the Sumida River). While searching for a statue, he discovered a Buddha statue in a casting net, and Haji Manakachi worshiped it and learned that it was the statue of Sho Kanzeon Bodhisattva, so he and his attendants enshrined the statue on the stump of a Japanese japanese tree. This is an event based on the ``Sensoji Temple Auspiciousness.''
